Transparency Policy — UQLI Research Group
Note: UQLI Research Group is a private research organization, not a federal agency. The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) does not apply to private organizations. However, we are committed to transparency and voluntarily disclose the information described below.
What We Make Public
- All composite US city scores and rankings (current cycle)
- Methodology documentation: normalization approach, aggregation method, confidence rating thresholds
- Confidence ratings per city
- Data source citations for each indicator (see Data Governance)
- Methodology version history with change summaries
How to Request Data
For data not already available on our platform, submit a written request to data@universalqli.com with:
- Your name and organization
- The specific data requested
- Intended use of the data
What We Cannot Release
- Raw source data licensed from third-party providers (CDC, Census Bureau, FBI UCR, EPA, etc.)
- Individual user account information or API usage data
- Internal operational systems and infrastructure details
Note: Dimension weights and the normalization method are publicly documented on the Methodology page and via the GET /api/methodology endpoint.
Response Time
We aim to respond to all data requests within 30 business days. Complex requests may require additional time; we will communicate any delays.
Appeals
If you are not satisfied with the response to your data request, contact legal@universalqli.com with the details of your original request and the nature of your concern.
