Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing universalqli.com or the UQLI API, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the UQLI platform for lawful research, policy analysis, journalism, and educational purposes. You must not exceed your tier's rate limits and must keep your API key confidential.

3. Prohibited Uses

  • Automated scraping beyond your API rate limit
  • Redistribution or resale of UQLI data without written permission
  • Misrepresenting UQLI scores or presenting altered rankings as official
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer or circumvent security controls
  • Using the platform to harass or defame any individual or organization

4. API Terms

API access is limited to your tier's monthly call quota. Exceeding the limit returns 429 responses until the next billing period. Commercial redistribution requires an Enterprise license. Attribution to UQLI™ is required in any publication.

5. Intellectual Property

UQLI™ is a trademark of UQLI Research Group. The scoring methodology and platform content are copyright protected. City scores are available under CC BY 4.0 for non-commercial research use with attribution.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Scores reflect available data and a specific methodology version. We do not guarantee completeness or fitness for any particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

UQLI Research Group shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes are resolved through binding arbitration under American Arbitration Association rules.
